Courts
The city of El Cerrito has 13 courts at six locations. One location, Cerrito Vista Park, is lighted. See the complete list below.
Also see below for information on the city's Adopt-a-Park Program.
Reservations and Permits
At the time of making a reservation, the reserver must sign a statement affirming that all players playing under that reservation have permits. The reserver must also have a permit.
Reservations
One court at each location may be reserved for one-and-one-half hours between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. every day of the week. You must make your reservations in person, in advance, at the El Cerrito Community Center, 7007 Moeser Lane, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, call 559-7000.
Costs are $7.50 for residents and $9.00 for nonresidents. Teams playing in USTA leagues can reserve courts for $3.50 per hour per team. Multiple reservation changes will incur a change fee of $5.00.
Permits
Permit fees help to defray the costs of court maintenance in the city. Permit holders are the only ones able to reserve courts, and, even without reservations, they also have court priority over those without permits. Players on reserved courts must have their permits with them.
Costs for adults are $65 for residents and $75 for nonresidents. Costs for youths 18 and under are $26 for residents and $33 for nonresidents. Permits are valid from April to April. Monthly permits are available for $10 for all categories of players.
Court Maintenance
Normally, the city resurfaces one set of courts per year. Castro Park is the latest location to be resurfaced. Work was completed in the summer of 2009 in the same blue and green colors as Harding Park.

City of El Cerrito Adopt-a-Park Program
The City of El Cerrito encourages residents, community organizations, and businesses to become directly involved in improving our city parks and other landscaped areas through an Adopt-a-Park Program.
Adopting a park can take many forms, including establishing a presence in the park to be on the lookout for vandalism and maintenance problems and reporting these to the City; providing maintenance assistance in the form of general park cleanup, such as picking up litter, painting, weeding and minor planting (e.g., flowers, replacement shrubbery); providing direct monetary assistance for park enhancements; and providing input to the City on park use.
